LG 50PW350 50-Inch 720p Active 3D Plasma HDTV Overviews
Plasma TVs have always offered a great picture, but they've had a couple drawbacks, most notably that they've been power-hungry. LG's 50PW350 is changing the story. It still offers a great picture, but it's ENERGY STAR certified so you know you're saving energy (and money). But even cooler than that, this 720p TV is 3D-ready so you can enjoy the latest blockbusters the way they really look.

3D Technology Checklist
This product is 3D-related. To help you get a great 3D experience, use the checklist below to ensure you have everything you need. 3D viewing requires:
A Display First, you'll need a 3D-ready display--whether it's a 3D HDTV, 3D projector, or 3D computer monitor. These displays have more processing power than standard 2D models for displaying 3D images in rapid succession.
A Source Your display may be ready for 3D playback, but you'll still need a device to read 3D content. This can be a cable box with a subscription to a 3D channel, a 3D Blu-ray Disc player, or a PlayStation 3 system.
3D Content 3D content--the actual entertainment, in other words--will be played back using the source mentioned above, whether it's a 3D broadcast from your cable provider, a 3D Blu-ray Disc, or a 3D video game.
3D Glasses For now, the vast majority of 3D HDTVs require glasses for 3D viewing. Many use powered "active shutter" glasses, others polarized "passive" glasses. You'll need one pair per viewer, and they'll have to be compatible with your display, whether they're the same brand, or a pair of "universal" glasses designed to work across brands.
HDMI Cable To connect your source (such as a 3D Blu-ray Disc player) to your display, you'll need a high-speed HDMI cable. Cables with this designation feature bandwidth speeds up to 10.2 Gbps (gigabits per second), for carrying the 3D signal without any loss of quality.

(March 2011)
LG flat panel plasma TVs are sleek, thin and capable of displaying stunning, high definition pictures with surprisingly wide, off-angle viewing. The Plasma displays are known for their deep, rich blacks, and incredibly precise colors making them ideal for watching sports and action movies. The 600 hertz refresh rate keeps up with the fastest action, so there's a clear picture with virtually no blur. LG plasma TVs have a TruSlim Frame that makes for a sleek stylish design.
TruSlim Frame
At less than 1 & thick the new TruSlim Frame trims away distraction without compromising screen size.
3D Ready
A 2-D television that is capable of displaying 3D with the addition of 3D glasses and a 3D source such as a 3D Blu-ray player or a 3D capable broadcast source. LG Active Shutter glasses open and close at different times to allow certain images to each eye. These glasses require charging which can be done via a USB connection found at the back of the TV or using your laptop or other USB device and contain advanced technology to provide a full HD 3D viewing experience.
600Hz Sub Field Driving
Tired of streaky action or unclear plays during the game? The 600Hz refresh rate virtually eliminates motion blur giving you crisp, clear moving pictures. 600Hz technology lets you view superb full-HD motion and still images with 1,080 lines of resolution. This technology converts the motion in each scene into dots. And each frame is practically displayed for a shorter length of time than in previous systems, to reduce after effects.
Intelligent Sensor
Don't strain your eyes. Let your TV do the adjustments for you. Intelligent Sensor a proprietary LG technology that automatically optimizes the picture to the lighting and color conditions in the room for a more enjoyable viewing experience. Unlike other sensors which can only sense brightness of ambient light, the Intelligent Sensor uses 4,096 sensing steps to evaluate it’s surroundings. The result is a picture optimized for it’s surroundings and is more pleasing to watch.
ISFccc (Imaging Science Foundation certified calibration control)
This refers to TVs that contain the detailed calibration controls necessary for professional certification by the Imaging Science Foundation. The goal is to achieve performance parameters such as accurate color temperature, gray scale tracking as well as other performance parameters that are optimized for varying viewing conditions. The resulting ISF day and night modes will then be accessible by the user to experience the best their LG HDTV has to offer.Picture Wizard II
LG televisions come with a built-in calibration wizard and step by step instructions on how to properly adjust each of the picture controls within the TVs menu system. Get easy self-calibration with on-screen reference points for key picture quality elements such as black level, color, tint, sharpness and backlight levels.
Conserve Energy & Save Money
Conserve energy, fight climate, and save money with Energy Star and Smart Energy Saving products. TVs that are 4.0 Energy Star rated will save consumers 40% or more on energy consumption. Energy Star qualified TVs use about 30% less energy than standard units. Save energy both in standby and active. For TVs, it means they save energy both in standby and active (when they're on) modes. Be wise and not wasteful. Smart Energy Saving is a feature on LG TVs that allows for customized energy consumption and savings. With Smart Energy Saving features, you can conserve energy and save money.
